The per person price includes round trip transportation to and from JFK Airport from our 4 convenient locations. All passengers must be flexible with times and able to walk a distance.
There will be a passenger informational meeting 2 to 3 weeks before the departure date. All customers will receive their informational packets, tickets and can ask any questions.
A deposit of $500.00 is required within 5 days of booking the tour. Full payment will be due by May 15, 2010.
Day 1 Aug 13th. Travel by deluxe TRAVEL KUZ motorcoach to JFK airport! USA-GREECE Take your overnight flight from NYC-Athens.
Day 2 Aug. 14th ATHENS GREECE - Welcome / Arrive in Athens where you will be met by our English speaking representative and transferred by a private car to the 4 Star Titania Hotel (www.titania.gr), centrally located between the city's two main squares (Constitution Square and Omonia Square), within convenient walking distance to the Nation Library, Parliament Building, the changing the Evzon Guard. Balance of day at leisure. Complimentary cocktail party & welcome dinner in Plaka.
Day 3 Aug 15 ATHENS After breakfast, take the 1/2 day Athens City Tour, to the Acropolis and museums with R/T transfers to the hotel. This tour will introduce you to the most important sights of the city. You will see the temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Tomb of the Unknow Soldier and the Pan Athenaeum Stadium. Lunch included in a nice restuarant.
Day 4 Aug 16th ATHEN-KEFALONIA You will be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to KEFALONIA. Upon your arrival you will be transferred to the 4 Star MEDITERRANEE HOTEL, www.mediterraneehotel.gr, a beach front hotel in the Lassi area, 1.5 km from Arostoli. Ideally set in the tranquil surrondings of the Lassi coastline near Argostoli, capital city of the island of Kefalonia. Situated just above a small bay with a sandy beach. Breakfast daily for 5 days - Complimentary cocktail party & welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 Aug 17th KEFALONIA Take the tour of Fiscardo. (Included) Fiscardo is located on the northerrn tip of Kefalonia in an area so beautiful that the Greek government has protected it by law. Around Fiscard dense forests reach down to innumberable small coves where pebble beaches are lapped by crystal clear water. Uniquely in Kefalonia, Fiscardo retain the architecture and ambience of a by-gone-area. Time when the Venetians ruled Kefalonia. Dinner included in a nice restaurant.
Day 6 Aug 18th KEFALONIA Take the tour of the Melisani Cave. The caves in Melissani are located about 10 km from Argostoli and 2 km from Sami, in the east coast of Kefalonia. The caves are surronded by forests, while a mountain slope is located to the west of them. In mythology, Melissani was the cave of the Nymphs. Melissani is the most spectacular lake on the island. You will take a complete tour of the cave in a boat. First you'll be taking a trip around the first hall of the cave, around the hole in the rood, and then the boat passes the island to go to the other side where a small channel exists. The gondolier now pulls the boat through the narrow channel to the second hall of the cave. R/T bus service to Argostoli and Melisani Cave Tour included.
Day 7 Aug 19th, KEFALONIA R/T bus service for a 1/2 day (afternoon into the evening) to Dilinata. A small settlement located 9km northeast of Argostoli, NW of Sami and north of the Argostoli-Sami Road and East of Davagata. Here you will have a chance to visit a very old church, a local household and dinner included!
Day 8, Aug 20th KEFALONIA. Day at Leisure
Day 9, Aug 21st ATHENS You will be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Athens. Upon your arrival you will be transferred to the 4 Star Titania Hotel. Stay in a double room with breakfast included. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 10, Aug 22nd ATHENS - USA You will be transferred to the airport to fly back home.
